HOW TO ENTER

Entries to the 18th Annual AIMIA Awards are open from Wednesday 14th September, 2011 till 5pm AEST Friday 21st October, 2011.

Entering the AIMIA Awards is easy!

1) Ensure you have a current AIMIA membership and know your unique login ID and password. If you don’t have this info please submit a request via the form below.

2) Read the following entry notes carefully and check out the judging criteria.

3) Login to the entry site and complete the online entry form. Please note: We have simplified the entry process this year to help make entering a breeze!

4) Pay for your entry (or entries) by credit card, and submit your online entry no later than 5pm AEST Friday 21st October, 2011. Tip: You can now pay for mulitple entries at the same time.

All entries must be submitted via our online entry facility. Please read the following notes before beginning your online entry.

FOR A PRODUCT TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR ENTRY INTO THE AIMIA AWARDS IT MUST:

Be a digital media product or contain significant digtal media elements that is stored on or served over (as the case may be) a cartridge, the World Wide Web (the Web), mobile networks, iTV/Digital TV, PC or console, kiosk, CD-ROM, DVD-ROM, intranet, extranet.

Be entered by the developer and/or publisher of the product and more than 75% by value of the development of the product must have occurred in Australia or New Zealand.

Points to note:

You are taken to be the developer of a product if you directly supervised and managed the overall creative and technical design and development of the product, and you used your own skills and those of your staff or freelancers, even if you subcontracted some elements of the product.

You are taken to be the publisher of a product if you distributed or made available the product to the public, and may have either internally developed the product or commissioned and/or collaborated with an independent developer. Where an entry involves an independent developer for a significant proportion of the production (over 25% by development effort (in hours or days), or responsible for key creative and technical contribution), the entry should provide credits to the independent developer.

If two or more parties jointly developed the product, the entry should be in the joint names of the developers involved. Please add this information in the ‘credits’ section of the entry form.

YOU MUST BE AN AIMIA BUSINESS, SME, ASSOCIATE, SOLE TRADER OR STUDENT MEMBER TO ENTER THE AWARDS:

If you have been an AIMIA member in the past but your membership has lapsed, please use the form below to request a membership renewal form.

Individual members are not eligible to enter the AIMIA Awards. If you are an existing Individual member and want to upgrade your membership to the Business, SME or Sole Trader category at the special price please use the form below to request a membership upgrade.

Student members are eligible to enter the Best Student-Developed Content category only.

YOUR UNIQUE LOGIN ID & PASSWORD IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT AN AWARDS ENTRY:

Your unique Log-in ID and Password will have been sent to you with your membership confirmation/welcome email.
If you don't know or have lost your login details, please complete the request form below. Your login ID and password will be emailed to you immediately (during business hours).

ENTRY FEE & PAYMENT:

Entry fee for the 18th Annual AIMIA Awards is $164.00 + GST (per entry).
Entry fee for student members, into the Best Student Project category, is $84.00 + GST (per entry). Only AIMIA student members may enter this category.
Entry fees for the 18th Annual AIMIA Awards must be paid by credit card. We accept the following cards; VISA, MasterCard & AMEX.
A printable tax receipt will be provided to you via email confirmation once your payment has been processed.

JUDGING:

Judges will assess entries on content, design, useability, technical expertise, and overall fitness for purpose. Very few entries are expected to score the maximum points in each category.
